I guess you could call this a 100 year collaboration.
While browsing in a Paris flea market,I discovered a folder of several drawings made in 1913 by a 15 year old schoolboy named Georges Beaufils. The sketches were done as class assignments and included corrections that the teacher had made. I decided that since each drawing was of an object, it would be fun to try to find the same object in the flea market. I succeeded, and set ut to create a series of assemblages by combining the drawing with the object and other related materials.
As there were only six original drawings, I decided to continue this project on my own, "d'apres" Georges Beaufils.
There are about 20 pieces in the series. Each frame is handmade from barnwood.
